Our Team
David Rodriguez
Director
David was raised in Anacortes, WA. After high school, he went on to graduate from Washington State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working for a year as an engineer, he realized his heart was to serve his community. David is kind, hardworking, and enjoys laughing with the students.
Sarah McKee
Teacher
Sarah was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Inspired by her time teaching in her church's children ministry, she studied elementary education in college. Her and her husband, who serves in the military, are stationed in WA now after spending the last two years in VA. She is excited to be part of the ACS family and cannot wait to help each student grow into the calling God has placed over their lives.
Brandy Cooper
Teacher
Brandy taught for a number of years on the East Coast before moving to Anacortes with her husband where she homeschooled their two kids from Kindergarten up to high school. Brandy is gentle, kind, and loves the Lord. In her free time, she enjoys getting into nature with her family!
Jo Kosmas
Assistant Teacher
Jo grew up in Enumclaw, WA and is a bright light in everyone's life! She was the Creative Arts Director at a local school for many years and is now excited to step into this role at ACS. Jo served as a volunteer last year and all the students loved when she came in (often time with a handful of new books from the library!).
Chylsea Ostrand
Preschool Teacher
Chylsea has called Anacortes home for the past 15 years. She is a homeschool mom who has always had a love for children and enjoys helping them learn and grow. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her family and making memories at the beach. She is excited and grateful for the opportunity to be part of Anacortes Christian School and looks forward to getting to know each of the children and families!
Elizabeth Volkman
Preschool Assistant Teacher
Elizabeth has been blessed to grow up in Anacortes her whole life. She spent the last year near Estes Park, Colorado at Torchbearers International Bible school studying God's Word and His amazing creation. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, thrifting, spending time with friends and family and teaching children about Jesus.
