The People Behind ACS
Our Team
David Rodriguez
Director
David was raised in Anacortes, WA. After high school, he went on to graduate from Washington State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working for a year as an engineer, he realized his heart was to serve his community. David is kind, hardworking, and enjoys laughing with the students.
Sarah McKee
Teacher
Sarah was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Inspired by her time teaching in her church's children ministry, she studied elementary education in college. Her and her husband, who serves in the military, are stationed in WA now after spending the last two years in VA. She is excited to be part of the ACS family and cannot wait to help each student grow into the calling God has placed over their lives.
Jo Kosmas
Assistant Teacher
Jo grew up in Enumclaw, WA and is a bright light in everyone's life! She was the Creative Arts Director at a local school for many years and is now excited to step into this role at ACS. Jo served as a volunteer last year and all the students loved when she came in (often time with a handful of new books from the library!).
Danika Frisbee
Preschool Teacher
Danika grew up in Anacortes and loves spending time with her husband and daughter as well as being outdoors! She has 10 years of preschool teaching experience as well as years of leading Children's Church and VBS groups. She is so excited to be a part of the ACS Preschool and can't wait to see the great impact the school will have on our community.
Sophia Rodriguez
Preschool Assistant Teacher
Sophia grew up in Sammamish, WA, but has now lived in Anacortes for many years. She loves spending time with her family, doing water color art, and chatting with friends. She has an infectious smile, and loves being around God's children!
